About
A. Lani Ceballos is an associate in Dinsmore’s Labor and Employment practice in Louisville, Kentucky. She advises and defends employers in workplace matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour claims, and employment contract disputes. Her practice combines employment counseling with litigation experience, giving her a practical perspective on disputes that may begin with internal workplace issues and continue through administrative proceedings or court litigation.
Lani earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Kentucky. In law school, she served as president of the Black Law Students Association, held a leadership role in the Student Bar Association, and competed in the Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition. She also received the Louisville Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholarship.
Before joining Dinsmore, Lani practiced at a national law firm and represented clients in complex litigation, including class actions, mass torts, and product liability matters. That work gave her experience with large-scale discovery, litigation strategy, and disputes spanning multiple jurisdictions. She also served as a BCLP fellow and staff attorney for the Midwest Innocence Project, where her pro bono work included contributing to the successful overturning of a 28-year wrongful conviction in the Kansas Court of Appeals.
A. Lani Ceballos brings employment-law focus together with experience in complex litigation and public-interest representation. Her background supports her work with employers facing sensitive workplace disputes, agency matters, and litigation risks. She is admitted in Illinois and Missouri and to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. Her practice reflects careful case management, strong written and oral advocacy, and an ability to address fact-intensive disputes in a clear, organized way.
