Herbert Hurst is the founder of Hurst Law Firm and has dedicated his career to helping people in Memphis find real solutions to overwhelming debt. Since 2001, he and his firm have focused on guiding individuals and families through the bankruptcy process so they can get back on their feet financially. Known for his honest advice and caring approach, Mr. Hurst helps clients navigate the tough choices that come with debt relief while protecting their rights and dignity.

Mr. Hurst moved to Memphis in 1994 to attend law school at the University of Memphis. He earned his J.D. there in 1997 and has called Memphis home ever since. His strong ties to the community drive his commitment to helping people in financial distress find their second chance.

Mr. Hurst is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, the U.S. Federal Court, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Tennessee. He has deep experience with both Chapter 13 “Wage Earner Bankruptcy” and Chapter 7 “Straight Bankruptcy,” tailoring solutions that fit each client’s situation. From stopping creditor harassment to saving a family home, Mr. Hurst uses his knowledge of bankruptcy law to help clients make informed decisions about their futures.

Herbert Hurst is a member of the Memphis Bar Association and previously served on the Bankruptcy Liaison Committee for the Western District of Tennessee.
