Harley Wagner

Harley Wagner is a dedicated DUI defense attorney and the founder of The Wagner Law Firm in West Virginia. He focuses only on DUI cases and works to protect his clients’ rights. His approach is direct and supportive, helping clients understand the process as they work toward the best possible outcome.

Harley earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism from West Virginia University in 1990. He then earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in 1995. His education helped shape his focus on criminal law and his long-term commitment to DUI defense work.

Harley began his legal career in 1997 as an Assistant State Prosecutor in Harrison County, West Virginia. This role gave him early courtroom experience, handling a wide range of criminal cases. In 1999, he returned to Martinsburg to focus on criminal defense and build his practice.

Harley has spent many years developing deep knowledge in DUI defense. He joined the National College for DUI Defense in 2000 and completed hundreds of hours of training. He also became trained and certified in field sobriety testing and breath testing procedures used in West Virginia.

In 2010, Harley founded The Wagner Law Firm, the only law firm in West Virginia focused on DUI defense. Since then, he has completed over 800 hours of DUI training and has represented more than 3,000 clients across the state in many counties.

Harley has received many honors, including selection to West Virginia Super Lawyers® eight times. He holds an AV Preeminent® rating, an Avvo rating of 10.0, and strong ratings from the Better Business Bureau. He also served as president of a national DUI defense organization.
