Hannah Bornstein is a partner and deputy practice group leader for Government Investigations & White Collar Defense at Nixon Peabody. She represents individuals and multinational companies in regulatory compliance, government investigations, and litigation. Her work focuses heavily on life sciences and health care law matters involving the False Claims Act, Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and related federal regulations. She also advises clients on high-stakes inquiries involving government agencies and enforcement authorities.
Hannah earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University. She earned her B.A., cum laude, from Brandeis University. Her academic background provided a strong foundation for a practice involving investigations, regulatory compliance, litigation, healthcare, and complex federal enforcement matters.
Hannah represents pharmaceutical, medical device, digital health, and other life sciences companies in investigations and compliance matters. Her experience includes responding to grand jury subpoenas, HIPAA subpoenas, civil investigative demands, and informal government requests. She handles False Claims Act litigation, FDA enforcement matters, Anti-Kickback Statute concerns, promotional and advertising issues, product approval pathways, and transactional due diligence involving regulated products.
Hannah Bornstein is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and is active in professional and public-service organizations. She has served on the Food and Drug Law Institute Enforcement, Litigation, and Compliance Conference Planning Committee and previously co-chaired the Boston Bar Association Immigration Asylum Committee.
