H. Alfred Casassa has built a distinguished legal career marked by extensive experience in estate planning, trust administration, real estate matters, and business-related legal issues. Through decades of service in both public and private roles, he has earned recognition for thoughtful counsel, practical problem-solving, and a strong commitment to the communities he has served. Alfred earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, before beginning a legal career that would include service in government, banking, and the judiciary. His educational foundation helped prepare him for a broad legal career that includes work in government, banking, judicial service, and private practice. He is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, the U.S. Federal Courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Alfred began developing legal experience as a Law Clerk with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Legal Department. He later served with the Internal Revenue Service as a Federal Estate Tax Examiner / Attorney, gaining valuable insight into tax and estate-related matters. His professional background also includes service as a Former Director and Legal Counsel for Hampton Cooperative Bank and a Former Director of Hampton National Bank.

Alfred’s dedication to public service is reflected in numerous leadership positions. He served as a Former Justice of Hampton District Court and contributed to the legal profession through roles with the New Hampshire Judicial Council, where he served as both Past Member & Past Chairman, and the Rockingham County Bar Association, where he served as Past President. Memberships have also included the American Bar Association and the American Judges Association.

H. Alfred Casassa has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to civic and military service. He served two years of active duty in the U.S. Navy and six years in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, resigning as Lt. Senior Grade. Community leadership roles have included Former Moderator for the Town of Hampton, New Hampshire, Former Chairman of the Exeter Hospital Board of Trustees, Former Board Member of the NH SPCA, and Former Director of Exeter & Hampton Electric Company. His service has been recognized through the NH Bar Association 2018 Vickie Bunnell Award for community service and the Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow award
