Gretchen Jensen

Gretchen Jensen is a Partner & Attorney at Schott Mauss & Associates in West Des Moines, Iowa. She practices exclusively in Social Security Disability law. During law school, she was a member of the Drake Law Review and served as Associate Editor. Before focusing on Social Security Disability, Gretchen practiced general civil litigation involving employment, discrimination, commercial disputes, and family matters. She has presented arguments before the Iowa Supreme Court and Eighth Circuit. This earlier litigation background now complements her exclusive disability practice and experience navigating administrative and federal review of claims.

Gretchen Jensen belongs to the Iowa Bar Association and National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. She has served as a board member and officer of the Iowa Bar Review School and co-authored an article on jury selection in discrimination cases. As one of the firm’s owners since 2017, she combines leadership responsibilities with representation of disability claimants at the application stage and in later administrative and court appeals.
