Ginger D. Anders

Ginger D. Anders is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. She focuses her practice on complex litigation and appellate matters, often representing clients in patent disputes, regulatory litigation, and cases involving significant constitutional and administrative law issues.

Ginger earned her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in 2002. She previously received her Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1999, graduating summa cum laude and building a strong academic foundation for her legal career.

Ginger has extensive appellate experience and has argued 19 cases before the United States Supreme Court. Her work frequently involves intellectual property matters, particularly patent law, as well as complex regulatory and transnational litigation.

Ginger previously served in the United States Department of Justice as an Assistant to the U.S. Solicitor General. In that role, she represented the United States before the Supreme Court and worked on numerous appellate matters involving federal agencies and national legal policy.

Ginger later served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel. In this role, she provided legal advice to the Executive Branch and addressed constitutional and statutory questions involving federal law and government authority.

Ginger also previously practiced appellate litigation at a Washington, D.C. law firm. Her work included complex copyright and commercial law cases as well as litigation involving constitutional challenges to state policies.

Ginger D. Anders served as a law clerk to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the United States Supreme Court, Judge Sonia Sotomayor of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and Judge Gerard E. Lynch of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
