Giles represents families in medical malpractice cases, including preventable birth injury and cerebral palsy claims. Giles earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2005, receiving Heuisler Honor recognition. He earned his M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1986 and his B.S., cum laude, from Towson State University in 1981. His medical specialty training at Greater Baltimore Medical Center included a four-month high-risk obstetrics rotation at Johns Hopkins Hospital. This combined education supports his work in complex medical malpractice litigation and trial preparation today.
Before becoming an attorney, Giles served as a faculty instructor at Greater Baltimore Medical Center while maintaining a private medical practice. He later became Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Baltimore for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group and subsequently served as Area Medical Director. He also developed expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and lectured physicians nationwide. His medical-legal experience includes serving as an expert witness and testifying in depositions and trials for plaintiffs and defendants in complex malpractice cases.
Giles H. Manley has achieved significant courtroom results, including a $9.5 million verdict for a family whose child suffered meningitis and a permanently debilitating brain injury. He has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and recognition from The National Trial Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, and Maryland Super Lawyers.
