Benjamin Decker

Benjamin Decker is the founder and co-owner of Decker Griffel, LLC in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His practice focuses on jury trials, Social Security disability hearings and appeals, personal injury, consumer protection, and business matters. He represents both individuals and businesses and handles consumer protection matters from both plaintiff and defense perspectives. His work combines litigation experience with representation in disability proceedings, appeals, and other civil matters requiring careful case preparation and advocacy.

Benjamin earned a J.D. from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law in 2008 and a B.S. from Northern Arizona University in 2005, majoring in American Political Studies with a minor in Economics. During law school, he participated in Trial Moot Court and served as a member of the Penn State Environmental Law Review. His undergraduate activities included leadership with Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and community service involvement, providing an early foundation for legal analysis, advocacy, and public service.

Benjamin represents clients through different stages of litigation and disability claims. His work can include filing or responding to complaints and other pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, subpoenas, bench and jury trials, settlement negotiations, mediation, arbitration, disability hearings, and appeals. He is admitted to practice in New Mexico state courts, the US District Court for the District of New Mexico, and the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Benjamin Decker combines trial experience with a diverse civil practice and substantial work involving Social Security disability claims. He is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives and continues to assist clients with disability hearings and federal appeals.
