George Edwards III

George Edwards III is a founding partner of Edwards Sutarwalla Samani LLP, focusing his practice on civil rights and personal injury litigation. He is widely recognized for his dedication to justice and his commitment to defending the rights of individuals harmed by excessive force, constitutional violations, and negligence. With a career rooted in advocacy, Mr. Edwards has represented victims in high-stakes cases across Texas and beyond.

Mr. Edwards earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Rice University in 2003 and his J.D. from Howard University School of Law in 2006, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the law school’s legal newspaper, The Barrister.

Mr. Edwards began his legal career at The Gallagher Law Firm, focusing on toxic tort and environmental litigation. He later worked at Phillips Akers, P.C., a Houston-based litigation boutique, where he expanded his trial experience in complex civil matters. In 2014, he founded The Edwards Law Firm before becoming a founding partner at his current firm.

George Edwards III has remained active in the legal and civic community throughout his career. He has served on the State Bar of Texas Web Services and Grievance Committees and is currently a member of the State Bar’s Professionalism Committee. He is also an inaugural member of Leadership SBOT, an initiative designed to promote diverse leadership within the legal profession.

Mr. Edwards has represented clients in all four federal districts of Texas. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and several other federal courts. In addition to his civil litigation practice, he serves as a guardian ad litem in cases involving injured minors, advocating for their rights and recovery.
