Geoffrey Gray, Esq. is a full-time neutral serving as a mediator, arbitrator, referee, and settlement allocator. With more than 40 years of legal experience, he has handled complex civil matters involving personal injury, product defect, public entity liability, premises liability, and medical negligence.
Geoffrey earned his Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law in 1980. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Irvine in 1977. He also obtained a Mediation Certificate from the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.
After decades as a trial lawyer, Geoffrey transitioned in 2019 to focus exclusively on alternative dispute resolution. He previously practiced with several Southern California firms and represented clients in high-stakes litigation, earning a reputation for thorough preparation and strategic case evaluation.
Geoffrey served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Orange County Superior Court for 36 years, supporting the court’s settlement office and presiding over settlement conferences. He also served as a mediator for the United States District Court, Central District of California, and remains active with Judicate West.
Geoffrey is widely respected for his medical acumen and experience in medical negligence matters, both as a former trial attorney and as a neutral. His background allows him to efficiently analyze complex factual records and facilitate productive negotiations.
Geoffrey is an active member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and previously served on the board of directors for the Orange County Trial Lawyers. His honors include the Joseph D. McNeil Civility Award from the Orange County Bar Association and multiple selections to Southern California Super Lawyers.
