Russell S. Kohn

Russell S. Kohn, Esq. is the founder of Kohn Law Office and has focused exclusively on personal injury law since 1987. He represents injured victims in car accidents, wrongful death, and premises liability cases. He does not represent businesses or insurance companies; he represents only individuals and families.

Russell earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Arizona in 1981. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona in 1984. He was admitted to practice in Arizona in 1984 and California in 1985.

Russell has been recognized by his peers for leadership and professional excellence. He was elected President of the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County and later served as Director of the San Diego County Bar Association. He is listed in Best Lawyers and recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine.

For many years, Russell served as a temporary judge for the San Diego Superior Court, presiding over settlement conferences and other matters. In 2015, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the North County Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral Service Program.

Russell’s leadership roles include President of the North County Bar Association and Director positions with both the North County and San Diego County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the State Bar of California, Consumer Attorneys of California, and Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.

Russell S. Kohn has authored books and legal articles on personal injury law, including published appellate work such as Hemphill v. Wright Family, LLC (2015) 234 Cal.App.4th 911. Through dedicated advocacy and personal attention to every case, he remains committed to helping injured clients obtain full and fair compensation.
