Bryan E. DeMaggio is a dedicated attorney whose practice spans criminal defense, civil rights law, and appellate litigation. His legal work includes trial practice, white collar defense, professional licensure issues, and post-conviction relief. With deep knowledge of state and federal courts, Bryan advocates powerfully for the rights of his clients.

Bryan began his academic journey at Florida State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in both History and Political Science, graduating summa cum laude. He was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies for academic excellence. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2008.

During law school, Bryan served as a Certified Legal Intern at the Office of the Public Defender for Florida’s Eighth Judicial Circuit. In this role, he represented people charged with various crimes who could not afford an attorney. He also worked with Three Rivers Legal Services, helping homeless individuals with legal needs, and completed an externship with Circuit Court Judge Peter K. Sieg to review post-conviction cases.

Since entering the legal field, Bryan has built a strong reputation for legal skill and dedication. He is admitted to practice before the Florida Bar, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and multiple U.S. District Courts, including the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida, as well as the District of Columbia.

Bryan E. DeMaggio’s work has earned recognition from Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and listings in Best Lawyers in America for Appellate Practice, Civil Rights Law, and Criminal Defense (General and White Collar). In 2023, he was named Lawyer of the Year in Civil Rights Law in Jacksonville, a distinction that reflects his high level of advocacy and results. Bryan continues to be active in legal associations such as the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Chester Bedell Inn of Court, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
