Gary L. Blacklidge is a Portland real estate, creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, and probate attorney with more than 34 years of legal experience. He advises clients on real estate transactions, foreclosures, judgment executions, and matters involving real and personal property. His practice also includes debtor-creditor issues and bankruptcy matters. His prior work as a title officer helps him identify title problems and develop practical approaches for resolving property-related concerns for clients.
Gary earned his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in 1990 and his B.A. from Oregon State University in 1977. He is admitted to practice in Oregon. His legal education and earlier title insurance experience support his analysis of real estate interests, creditor remedies, transaction structures, and bankruptcy issues. His background also helps him address title concerns affecting property ownership and commercial decisions for clients.
Gary represents clients in transactional matters and disputes involving foreclosures, judgment executions, and real property. He assists investors purchasing property at foreclosure sales, redeeming property, applying for early sheriff’s deeds, and obtaining possession after foreclosure. His bankruptcy experience includes representing Chapter 7 trustees, creditors, and parties purchasing assets from bankruptcy estates. He also handles probate matters, giving clients guidance across property, creditor, insolvency, and estate-related legal concerns and related disputes.

He received the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section’s William N. Stiles Award of Merit in 2022. He has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America from 2016 through 2026.
