About

Frank D. Trotter protects the rights of people accused of crimes in Texas. He handles DWI, drug possession, domestic violence, and student crimes. His work focuses on careful case review, strong defense planning, and practical guidance for clients who may face jail, a criminal record, or other serious penalties.

Frank graduated from Hirschi High School in 1973. He earned his B.S. from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1977, with a Major in Criminal Justice. He later earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston in Houston, Texas, in 1984.

Frank began his criminal law career as an Assistant District Attorney. That role gave him direct insight into how prosecutors study evidence, prepare witnesses, and evaluate charges. He uses that background to understand the other side’s approach and to build stronger defense strategies for people facing criminal accusations.

Frank represents clients in criminal matters where the outcome can affect freedom, employment, education, and reputation. He reviews the facts, charges, and evidence to find issues that may support dismissal, reduced charges, or lower penalties. His goal is to protect each client’s future whenever possible.

Frank understands that many criminal cases are resolved through plea discussions, but he also knows the value of being ready for trial. He prepares each case with attention to detail, looking closely at police conduct, witness statements, and weaknesses in the prosecution’s position before advising clients.

Frank D. Trotter continues to help people in Wichita Falls and nearby Texas communities face criminal charges with informed legal support. His experience in prosecution and defense allows him to guide clients through stressful situations while working to protect their rights, records, and long-term opportunities.
