Erika L. Johnson

Erika L. Johnson is an Attorney at Worden Thane P.C. with a practice spanning complex estate planning, trusts, probate, elder law, special needs planning, business formation, asset protection, commercial transactions, family business succession, real estate, and tax planning. Her earlier career included substantial civil litigation at the district and appellate levels. She now helps individuals, families, and businesses address legal decisions across growth, succession, and legacy planning.

Erika earned her J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law, where she co-edited the Public Land and Resources Law Review and participated on the negotiations team. She earned a B.A. in Economics from Willamette University and completed a Pacific Rim study-abroad program in China, South Korea, and Japan. After law school, she clerked for the Montana Supreme Court, adding judicial experience to her legal training.

Erika combines transactional planning with a litigation background that includes matters involving easements, lending issues, gifts, constructive trusts, undue influence, and property disputes. Her current work focuses on estate and probate planning, business and commercial matters, real estate transactions, asset protection, and succession. This range allows her to consider how ownership, taxes, family goals, and business needs intersect when clients structure transactions or long-term plans.

Erika L. Johnson received the Montana State Bar’s George F. Bousliman Professionalism Award for work improving access to justice through a district court pro bono program and self-help law desk. She is a member of the Montana State Bar and its BETTR Section. Her professional and community service complements a practice centered on careful planning, practical judgment, and durable legal solutions for individuals, families, and businesses.
