About
Anthony A. Trask is a Partner at Rudman Winchell with more than 20 years of trial experience. His practice focuses on family law, criminal defense, and disputes involving contracts and property, with work across Maine. He handles civil litigation and appellate matters as well as family cases involving divorce, child custody, alimony, child support, de facto parenthood, and grandparents’ rights. His practice combines courtroom advocacy with practical problem solving.
Anthony earned a J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, with distinction, from the University of Maine. His journalism background supports clear communication and careful development of facts, while his legal education prepared him for a career centered on litigation and advocacy. After law school, he spent much of the next decade litigating civil matters in Massachusetts state and federal courts.
Anthony later returned to Maine and practiced with Currier & Trask, where he handled trial and appellate work before joining Rudman Winchell. He has handled cases in all 16 Maine counties and is admitted in Maine and Massachusetts, several federal courts, the First Circuit, and the Penobscot Nation Tribal Court. His experience includes family disputes, criminal matters, contract and property claims, civil litigation, and appeals across multiple forums.
Anthony A. Trask is active in bar and trial-law organizations and regularly teaches at the Maine State Bar Association Family Law Institute. Maine’s Supreme Court has selected him to serve on committees examining and improving family-law procedure, including the Family Division Task Force and the Advisory Committee on the Maine Family Rules. His practice reflects extensive courtroom experience, professional service, and sustained work on complex family-law issues.
