Nick Jones

Nick Jones is a Partner at BJM Law PLLC in Missoula who advises businesses, owners, and families on business formation, capitalization, structuring, tax, estate planning, and succession matters. His practice includes corporations, LLCs, partnerships, trusts, probate administration, private placements, securities compliance, and real estate transactions. He helps clients organize ownership, financing, governance, tax, and long-term planning issues across the life cycle of a business or family estate.

Nick earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Montana School of Law and later earned an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law on a merit-based scholarship. He also completed an M.B.A. at the University of Montana School of Business and undergraduate studies at the University of Utah. His combined legal, tax, and business education directly supports his transactional and planning practice.

Nick has helped form, capitalize, structure, and develop businesses ranging from startups to established companies. He advises on business and succession planning, trust creation and administration, probate, entity formation, seller and traditional financing, real estate development, tax planning, tax disputes, private placements, and federal and state securities compliance. Before BJM Law, he practiced with Garlington, Lohn & Robinson, adding experience from another established Montana firm.
