Emily Russell

Emily Russell is co-managing partner at McCabe Russell Divorce and Child Custody Lawyers in Fulton, Maryland, where she leads the firm’s litigation team. Her family law practice focuses on divorce, child custody, and child support matters, including difficult cases that require negotiation or courtroom advocacy. Russell also handles same-sex divorce, property division, protective and peace order matters, and guardianship matters. With more than 20 years of family law experience, she helps clients address sensitive disputes with focused and practical representation.

Russell earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and a B.A. in political science from the University of Delaware. Her legal education provides a strong foundation for analyzing complex family law issues, preparing cases for litigation, and communicating clearly with clients facing significant personal and financial decisions.
