Ellen A. Adams

Ellen A. Adams is a shareholder at GableGotwals and Co-Chairs the Firm’s Employment and Labor Practice Group. Her work focuses on employment and labor law, state and federal litigation, compliance counseling, workplace risk, and practical guidance for employers across many industries and changing work environments.

Ellen earned her J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. She also earned her B.A. in Letters from the University of Oklahoma. Her education supports her work advising clients, reviewing employment issues, building workplace policies, and helping employers make sound legal and business decisions with confidence.

Ellen enjoys counseling and advising clients on employment law compliance to help reduce risk. She regularly develops policies, procedures, and training that align client business goals with human resources best practices. Her work helps employers create clearer systems, stronger practices, and better tools for managing workplace concerns daily.

Ellen works with clients in energy, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and banking. She understands that each workplace has its own challenges, employee needs, and business pressures. This industry experience helps her give practical advice that fits real work settings, not just legal rules on paper for employers and teams.

Ellen regularly conducts internal investigations in response to workplace complaints and outside claims. She works to help clients address problems carefully and fairly. Although she aims to help employers avoid litigation costs, she also defends them before agencies, arbiters, and state and federal courts when needed.
