About
Elizabeth Little is a Werksman Jackson & Quinn LLP partner, focusing her practice on criminal defense. With over eight years of experience, she handles all stages of criminal proceedings—from pretrial investigations to trial and appeals. She has worked on serious and high-profile cases in both California and Massachusetts, including the 2019 dismissal of charges against actor Kevin Spacey. Her attention to detail and strong motion practice have been key in achieving favorable outcomes for her clients.
Elizabeth earned her B.S.M., magna cum laude, from Tulane University in 2012. She earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2015, graduating Order of the Coif, a distinction awarded to the top ten percent of the class. She served as Senior Submissions Editor for the Southern California Law Review during law school.
Before entering private practice, Elizabeth worked as a law clerk in the Capital Habeas Unit of the Federal Public Defender’s Office. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Philip S. Gutierrez of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. These roles helped her develop a strong foundation in appellate work and constitutional law.
Elizabeth’s experience includes defending clients in both felony and misdemeanor cases. She has also worked extensively in civil court on harassment and domestic violence restraining order matters. Her ability to manage complex investigations and file effective pretrial motions has helped her secure case dismissals and reduced charges for many clients.
Elizabeth Little is admitted to practice in California, as well as in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Elizabeth is a National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers member and continues to stay engaged in professional development and advocacy.
Elizabeth remains a strong advocate for clients navigating the criminal justice system, providing strategic and skilled legal representation throughout each case stage.
