Robert Ernenwein

Robert Ernenwein is a highly respected criminal defense lawyer with over 30 years of legal experience in Southern California. He is a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction earned by only a select group of attorneys. Mr. Ernenwein has handled thousands of cases, ranging from DUI and drug offenses to violent crimes and sex offenses. He is known for his strong work ethic, expert legal strategy, and thorough case preparation. Mr. Ernenwein earned his B.A. from Manhattan College in New York in 1981. He then received his J.D. from Whittier Law School in 1984, where he was part of the Moot Court Honors Board and the Law Review.

After graduating from law school, Robert Ernenwein began his career as a Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles County. Between 1984 and 1987, he prosecuted more than 75 felony and misdemeanor jury trials, including serious charges like rape and murder. During this time, he also negotiated over 1,500 cases and worked alongside well-known legal professionals.

In 1987, Mr. Ernenwein entered private practice and has since dedicated his work to criminal defense. His clients include individuals facing charges in both state and federal courts. Mr. Ernenwein has represented professionals, public figures, and everyday people alike—some of whom had cases involving media attention or professional license protection.

Robert Ernenwein is a member of several respected legal associations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the California DUI Lawyer’s Association. He has also served as Alumni President of Whittier Law School.
