About
Carey Meldon is the Managing Partner at Meldon Law, where he focuses on trial practice involving personal injury and criminal defense. With a strong foundation in litigation and courtroom experience, Carey has dedicated his career to helping clients who have been seriously injured or accused of criminal offenses. His deep understanding of the legal system allows him to provide strategic and aggressive representation for those in need.
Carey earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary, where he studied History and Economics and played on the Varsity Tennis Team. He went on to receive his J.D. from Stetson’s College of Law. He is also a graduate of the National DUI College Program, held at Harvard University Law School in July 2015.
Before joining Meldon Law in 2009, Carey served as an Assistant State Attorney in Daytona Beach, where he prosecuted thousands of criminal cases. His caseload included misdemeanors, DUI offenses, and capital felonies. In 2008, he was promoted to the Special Prosecution Unit in the 7th Judicial Circuit, where he handled complex and high-profile sex crime cases, including sexual battery and child exploitation offenses.
Today, Carey leverages his prosecutorial background to defend the rights of the accused and advocate for injury victims. His unique perspective and trial experience make him an effective advocate in both criminal and civil courtrooms. Whether negotiating a settlement or presenting a case before a jury, Carey is committed to securing the best possible outcome for every client.
