Elizabeth J. Klingelhoefer

Elizabeth J. Klingelhoefer is a shareholder at Jacobsen Orr, Lindstrom & Holbrook, P.C., L.L.O. She is an experienced litigator who represents clients in trial courts and on appeal. Her work includes advocacy in mediations, bench and jury trials, and appellate proceedings throughout Nebraska.

Elizabeth earned her Juris Doctor, with Highest Honors, from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2015. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2010.

Elizabeth focuses her legal practice on litigation matters, including personal injury defense, premises liability, wrongful death, products liability, insurance coverage disputes, and estate and trust litigation. She works with clients to address complex legal issues while providing clear explanations and practical guidance.

Elizabeth has significant appellate experience and has initiated or defended more than 20 cases before the Nebraska Supreme Court and the Nebraska Court of Appeals. Many of these matters involved issues of first impression and required detailed legal analysis and effective advocacy.

While in law school, Elizabeth was a Sterling Honors graduate, placing in the top ten percent of her class. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the South Dakota Law Review and competed internationally as a member of the school’s trial team.

Elizabeth also worked as a Graduate Assistant for legal writing professors and served as the Dean’s Academic Assistant, helping teach and tutor first-year law students. She received multiple Dean’s List and writing awards, as well as several academic scholarships.

Elizabeth J. Klingelhoefer later served as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Roberto A. Lange of the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota, where she gained valuable experience in federal litigation and judicial decision-making.
