Elaina M. Monte is an experienced family law attorney with over a decade of dedicated practice in divorce, child custody, and child support matters. Known for her compassionate approach and firm legal advocacy, she guides clients through emotionally challenging situations with clarity, care, and confidence. Whether handling complex matrimonial disputes or negotiating parenting agreements, she is committed to protecting her clients’ rights and achieving balanced outcomes.
Elaina earned her Juris Doctor in 2010 from Western Michigan University – Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was named to the Dean’s List multiple times and took first place in the school’s Intra-School Mock Trial Competition. She is also a long-standing member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Her undergraduate studies were completed at The Canisius College of Buffalo, New York, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science/Pre-Law and Anthropology and served as a columnist for The Griffin newspaper.
Before founding her own firm in 2015, Elaina was an attorney at Dennis C. Gaughan Attorneys, where she refined her skills in family and matrimonial law. Since then, she has built a client-centered practice focused on delivering personalized legal strategies and responsive service. Her professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Bar Association of Erie County, where she is active in the Matrimonial and Family Law Committee and the Young Lawyers Committee.
In addition to her legal work, Elaina M. Monte serves on the boards of the Western New York Veteran’s Housing Coalition and The Road Less Traveled Productions.
