Edward Kraus

Edward Kraus is a vaccine injury attorney with nearly two decades of experience representing clients across the United States. He focuses on helping individuals seek compensation for injuries caused or worsened by vaccines. He works with both children and adults and is committed to achieving strong results.

Edward earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1993. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in English, with highest honors, from the University of Michigan in 1988, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Edward represents clients through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. He understands the serious impact vaccine injuries can have on families. He works closely with clients to guide them through the claims process and helps them pursue fair compensation for their injuries and losses.

Edward brings valuable insight from his service on the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines from 2011 to 2016. In this role, he advised the Secretary of Health and Human Services on the vaccine program. He is also active in the Vaccine Injured Petitioner’s Bar and serves on its Board of Directors.

Edward spent more than 20 years as a Clinical Professor of Law at Chicago-Kent College of Law. He directed the Federal Health Litigation Clinic, where he worked with colleagues to represent vaccine-injury clients while training law students in federal health litigation.

Before his academic role, Edward worked in private practice, handling complex civil litigation and consumer class actions. He also represented low-income clients early in his career. He has presented at national conferences and contributed to discussions on vaccine law and healthcare policy.

Edward Kraus is admitted to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin and before several federal courts. He is dedicated to helping clients navigate complex claims and works to secure meaningful outcomes for those affected by vaccine injuries.
