Dyke Huish

Dyke Huish is a criminal defense law and trial attorney at The Law Office of Dyke, serving clients in California courts. He has handled more than 8,000 criminal cases and tried more than 300 bench and jury trials. His work includes serious felony cases, fraud matters, DUI charges, drug cases, sex offenses, gang cases, and other criminal defense matters. Dyke earned a B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University. He also earned an M.S. in Psychology from Brigham Young University. He later earned a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, he ranked highly in Trial Advocacy and Appellate Presentation. He was also admitted to the National Order of Barristers and earned recognition in national trial competitions.

Dyke built his legal career through work on both sides of criminal cases. He served as a Deputy District Attorney in Orange County and as a Deputy District Attorney Pro Tem in San Diego. He also served as a Deputy Public Defender, where he handled major felony and misdemeanor cases. This background helps him understand how prosecutors prepare cases, how courts review evidence, and how juries respond to facts. His combined roles give clients a broad view of the criminal process from investigation to courtroom resolution.

Dyke Huish is a Certified Criminal Law Specialist in California and has held that certification since 2004. He has also served as a Superior Court Judge Pro Tem in felony, misdemeanor, and drug courts. His clients have included executives, police officers, doctors, attorneys, actors, athletes, and people from many professions. He has helped clients by seeking dismissals, negotiating fair results, challenging weak evidence, and taking cases to trial when needed.
