Brandon K. Fellers

Brandon K. Fellers is a Partner and Co-Founder of Fellers Law. He is a Hampton Roads criminal defense attorney with more than 15 years of experience inside Virginia’s criminal justice system. Before co-founding the firm, he spent over a decade as a prosecutor handling cases ranging from DUI toxicology and white-collar fraud to first-degree murder.

Brandon earned his degree in History from the Virginia Military Institute, where he also competed as a Division-I track athlete. He later received his law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law. During law school, he worked with the Innocence Project investigating wrongful conviction claims and completed an internship with Southern States Cooperative.

Before entering the legal profession, Brandon worked as a Senior Specialist with VDOT. That role gave him experience in statewide operations and problem-solving under pressure. Those early experiences helped shape the disciplined and focused approach he now brings to criminal defense cases throughout Virginia and the Hampton Roads area today.

Brandon began his legal career with the Harrisonburg Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office before spending more than ten years with the Chesapeake Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. During that time, he rose to senior prosecutor and tried thousands of cases. He also successfully argued before the Supreme Court of Virginia during his years as a prosecutor.

As a defense attorney, Brandon has secured not-guilty verdicts in major criminal cases, including double homicide, second-degree murder, and felony sexual assault matters. He has also negotiated reduced sentences that significantly lowered clients’ exposure and projected outcomes. His courtroom approach is built on preparation, motion practice, research, and attention to legal detail.

Brandon studies Virginia law closely and tracks new decisions from the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Virginia. He is known for thorough preparation and aggressive courtroom advocacy. Clients have described him as “The GOAT,” “the best,” and a lawyer who fought hard for them during difficult situations.

Brandon K. Fellers co-founded Fellers Law with his wife, Kristin, to create a defense firm focused on preparation, strategy, and hard work. Today, he represents clients across Hampton Roads in criminal defense, appeals, firearm rights, and military or court-martial matters.
