Duane L. Coleman

Duane L. Coleman is a St. Louis litigator with extensive experience in complex business disputes. He provides strategic advocacy in trial and appellate courts and offers trusted counsel on high-stakes commercial and bankruptcy matters, helping clients address challenging legal issues with clear, practical solutions across industries.

Duane earned a J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1986, where he participated in the Appellate Advocacy Program and the Christian Legal Society. He received a B.A. in Political Science from Loras College in 1983, earning National Dean’s List and Dean’s List honors.

Duane focuses his practice on complex business disputes in federal and state courts and in arbitration. He represents lenders and defends creditors in adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court, handling matters involving intellectual property licenses, information technology contracts, supply agreements, insurance claims, and Civil RICO issues.

Duane has achieved strong results for clients, including securing a judgment exceeding $18 million for a client in the global air-supported structures industry. He also regularly handles appellate matters and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Missouri in cases important to secured lenders throughout the state.
