Doug Skierski is a founding partner at Roquemore Skierski PLLC, where he brings more than two decades of experience in business litigation, bankruptcy, and commercial restructuring. Known for his strategic approach and AV rating, Doug represents clients in high-stakes disputes involving contracts, partnerships, and business operations.
Doug earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of Barristers and received the A.J. Thomas Award. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Psychology from Saint Leo University (summa cum laude). He also completed an M.A. and Ed.S. in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University.
Doug’s career includes partner roles at major Texas law firms and the founding of Franklin Skierski Lovall Hayward LLP prior to launching Roquemore Skierski PLLC. His litigation background is supported by a strong foundation in creditors’ rights and commercial restructuring, making him a go-to counsel for businesses facing legal and financial challenges.
Doug’s practice spans business litigation, breach of contract, fraud litigation, arbitration, and partnership disputes. He also provides general counsel services and handles commercial contract matters precisely and clearly. Over 17 years as a mediator and arbitrator further enhance his dispute resolution skills. He is licensed to practice in Texas and is active in the U.S. District Courts.
Doug Skierski is a member of the Dallas Bar Association (Bankruptcy & Commercial Law, ADR Sections), American Bankruptcy Institute, and a former Master of the John C. Ford Bankruptcy Inn of Court. He serves on the boards of the Law Firm Anti-Racism Alliance and the Alliance for Professional Counselors, blending his legal and counseling expertise in professional development and ethics.
