Donald Kochersberger, III

Donald F. Kochersberger is a Member Attorney at Business Law Southwest (BLSW) and Director of the firm’s Litigation Group. With over 25 years of legal experience, he is a respected and tenacious trial attorney focused on complex civil litigation and corporate criminal defense. Donald’s practice includes disputes involving contracts, shareholder and partnership conflicts, restrictive covenants, employee misconduct, and unfair trade practices. He represents local, regional, and national businesses as well as individuals facing serious civil or criminal allegations.

Donald Kochersberger, III earned his J.D. from the University of Toledo in 1997. He holds a B.A. and B.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, completed in 1993.

Donald is admitted to practice in New Mexico (1998), Texas (2013), and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. He has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts. Before joining Business Law Southwest in 2005, he led an Albuquerque law firm focused on criminal defense and was appointed by the State of New Mexico to represent hundreds of defendants during his early career. For over a decade, he has also served on the Criminal Justice Act panel for the U.S. District Court, handling federal criminal defense matters.
