Deyka Spencer

Deyka Spencer is the founder and Managing Partner of The Spencer Firm in Rockville, Maryland. Her employment law practice includes workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, wage violations, employee representation, employer defense, and conflict resolution. She represents individuals whose workplace rights are challenged and businesses that need defense or preventive guidance. Her background in litigation, negotiation, mediation, and public-interest work gives her a broad perspective on resolving workplace disputes.

Spencer earned a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2006 and a B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2001. She now serves as an adjunct professor at American University Washington College of Law, where her teaching complements her practical work in employment law and dispute resolution.

Spencer previously served as a Public Defender in Montgomery County and as a public-interest attorney with AARP’s Legal Counsel for the Elderly.
