About

Andrew L. Schwartz is a Principal at Stein Sperling whose practice covers Business Law, Construction Law, Employment Law, and Real Estate Law. He serves as outside general counsel to companies across different industries and advises on business growth, management, operations, and succession. His work includes commercial transactions, employment matters, real estate issues, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and agreements that support the creation, management, and long-term development of business ventures.

Andrew earned a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College in 2003 and a J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2006. During law school, he participated in the Moot Court Honor Society and the Trial Advocacy Honor Society and served on the latter organization’s executive board. His education and advocacy training support a practice that requires contract analysis, negotiation, business planning, and practical judgment across transactions and disputes involving closely held and growing companies.

Andrew drafts and reviews contracts and advises on corporate governance for limited liability companies, partnerships, corporations, and joint ventures. He works on mergers, acquisitions, business reorganizations, employment agreements, and real estate matters while helping business owners plan for succession and transition. He frequently speaks to business groups about entity selection, commercial controversies, succession planning, and employment concerns, combining legal analysis with an understanding of operational and ownership issues.

Andrew L. Schwartz is admitted in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, New York, and North Carolina, along with several federal courts. He has received recognition from Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, Bethesda Magazine, and Martindale-Hubbell. His practice combines transactional work, employment counseling, real estate guidance, and business planning, allowing clients to address day-to-day legal needs while preparing for growth, ownership changes, disputes, and other events that shape a company’s future.
