Devon Rood Slovensky

Devon Rood Slovensky is a family law attorney serving clients throughout Southwest Virginia with focused, strategic representation. Her practice is dedicated exclusively to family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and adoption. Devon earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, studying economics and American politics, before earning her Juris Doctor from the George Mason University School of Law. Her formal education provided a strong foundation in analytical reasoning, advocacy, and financial principles essential to effective family law representation.

Early in her legal career, Devon began practicing as a staff attorney at a legal aid organization, where she gained hands-on courtroom experience and developed a deep understanding of access-to-justice issues. That experience shaped her client-centered approach and informed her decision to focus her legal career on family law advocacy.

Devon’s practice includes contested and uncontested divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, adoptions, and protective orders. Devon represents clients at every stage of the family law process, from negotiation and mediation to litigation. She emphasizes preparation, clarity, and long-term planning in every case strategy.

As the only attorney in Southwest Virginia who is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®), Devon brings a unique perspective to divorce cases involving complex financial considerations.
