Deborah D. English-Jones

Deborah D. English-Jones is a senior attorney whose practice focuses on estate planning, trusts, probate, real estate, lending, and agricultural law. She advises individuals, families, business owners, and agricultural clients on wills, trusts, wealth transfer strategies, probate administration, guardianships, conservatorships, and a wide range of real estate and financing matters. She also assists clients with prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, helping them develop practical legal solutions aligned with their personal and financial goals.

Deborah earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, magna cum laude, from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law. Prior to relocating to Missouri in 2007, she was a partner at Locke Liddell & Sapp (now Troutman Pepper Locke) in Houston, Texas, where she represented clients in complex real estate, lending, and commercial transactions. Her early experience at a national law firm provided a strong foundation in sophisticated transactional work that continues to inform her practice today.

Deborah’s practice includes estate planning and trust administration, probate matters, guardianships, conservatorships, and agricultural transactions. She also advises clients on energy leasing, as well as the acquisition, sale, and financing of farms, hotels, commercial properties, and other real estate assets. In addition, she represents lenders, developers, and property owners in construction, development, acquisition, and financing transactions, offering practical guidance in complex financial and property matters.
