David T. Maloof is a transportation lawyer and mediator at National Logistics Mediations, focused on complex logistics disputes, shipping claims, and commercial transportation matters. David earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia College of Columbia University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School. He began his legal career as an intern in the United States Supreme Court and was also a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship, reflecting a strong academic foundation before entering transportation and logistics practice and later mediation work for complex transportation disputes nationwide.
David has handled major matters involving shippers, carriers, and commercial justice in the transportation industry. His background as an award-winning television reporter helped shape the investigative skills he later used in legal work. His investigations have involved significant transportation casualties, including the MV Elma Tres and S.S. El Faro sinkings. He has also participated in many successful, complex logistics mediations across the United States for industry parties and insurers nationwide.
