Thomas M. Eagan is a maritime and transportation lawyer and mediator at National Logistics Mediations, with more than four decades of experience. His practice has involved logistics providers, ship owners, shippers, and other transportation parties. He has handled disputes involving logistics contracts, inland and trucking transportation, ocean transportation, air transportation, cargo claims, charter party conflicts, and related commercial transportation matters. His mediation work includes many complex logistics disputes nationwide for businesses and insurers nationwide.

Thomas earned his B.A. in Politics, cum laude, from Fairfield University. He earned his J.D., with honors, from George Washington University in Washington, DC. During law school, he clerked for the US Coast Guard, Division of Maritime and International Law. In that role, he handled matters involving water pollution and marine safety, building early experience in legal issues tied to maritime operations, public regulation, and later complex transportation dispute work.

Thomas first practiced maritime law with Mooney & Eagan in New York, where he later became a partner. Over more than forty years, his work has included demurrage disputes, insurance coverage, vessel purchase, finance, registration, cargo interests, vessel owners, arbitration, and maritime personal injury. He has represented parties in court and in New York and London arbitration, giving him practical experience across transportation conflicts using industry documents, technical facts, and contracts.

Thomas M. Eagan has been named among the Best Lawyers in America and has served for 10 years on the Zoning Board of Adjustment in Maplewood, New Jersey. He has also performed pro bono work for the International Senior Lawyers Project in New York City, providing Law of the Sea Treaty guidance to a developing country. Thomas brings deep industry knowledge to mediation and transportation-related dispute resolution nationwide.
