Joseph D. Nohavicka

Joseph D. Nohavicka is a New York litigation lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in the law. He focuses on employment, commercial, insurance, ethics, criminal, and general appellate litigation. His work includes both trial and pre-trial matters, giving clients guidance through disputes that require careful preparation, courtroom skill, and practical judgment.

Joseph earned a B.A. in English from Mercy College in 1990. He later received his J.D. from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1993. His academic background helped build a strong foundation in legal writing, advocacy, and analysis. This training supports his ability to evaluate complex disputes and present legal arguments with clarity.

Joseph has experience in business-related matters and understands the importance of time, efficiency, and risk management for commercial clients. He is also an Arbitrator in the Small Claims Civil Court of the City of New York, Bronx County, where he was named 2009 Arbitrator of the Year.
