David M. Freeman

David M. Freeman has practiced law in Anchorage since 1978, building a career defined by decades of service to management, construction professionals, and business clients. Since joining his current firm in 2003, he has focused his work on labor and employment law, construction litigation, and related business matters. With extensive courtroom and negotiation experience, Freeman has represented employers and management in wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour disputes, as well as in complex labor negotiations and arbitration proceedings.

Freeman earned his B.A. from the University of Washington in 1972 and his J.D. from the University of Puget Sound in 1977. He is admitted to practice before Alaska state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. His academic foundation and broad admissions have allowed him to handle a wide variety of employment, construction, and commercial matters for clients across Alaska.

Freeman’s practice in construction law includes representing owners, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors in claims and disputes. He also provides business law counsel, addressing commercial transactions, corporate governance, and limited liability company matters.
