About
David J. Rashid is a skilled trial attorney with Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., where his practice is devoted to catastrophic personal injury, medical negligence, and wrongful death litigation.
Over the course of his career, David has achieved more than $230 million in verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients, earning a reputation for excellence in complex medical malpractice cases involving misdiagnosis, surgical errors, birth injuries, and emergency room negligence. His relentless advocacy has secured record-breaking results across Illinois, including Cook, Richland, and Crawford Counties.
David earned his Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 2007 before completing his Juris Doctor at George Mason University School of Law in 2010. Following law school, he served a judicial clerkship with the Office of the Chief Prosecutor for the U.S. Office of Military Commissions. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2011 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Since joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2023, David has continued his record of success. In his first trial with the firm, he obtained a $32.7 million verdict for a man who required a foot amputation due to a delayed blood clot diagnosis. The result marked the highest verdict ever reported in Illinois for the loss of one leg or foot. His accomplishments have placed him among the state’s most respected trial lawyers.
Beyond the courtroom, David J. Rashid contributes to the legal profession through articles published in the Trial Journal and Trial Magazine. He frequently lectures on medical malpractice and trial advocacy at institutions including the University of Notre Dame Law School and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
