David G. Barker

David G. Barker is a seasoned intellectual property attorney with over a decade of experience litigating complex intellectual property and business disputes. He represents clients in matters involving patent, trademark, trade dress, and copyright infringement, as well as unfair competition, trade secrets, deceptive advertising, and software licensing issues. David helps businesses meet their goals by balancing assertive litigation with strategic negotiation when appropriate.

David earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Duke Law and Technology Review. He holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. A registered patent attorney, he is admitted to practice in Arizona and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, with additional court admissions across multiple federal jurisdictions.

David has represented clients in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), and trademark opposition proceedings. His IP portfolio work includes prosecution, licensing, due diligence, and enforcement. He regularly advises clients on infringement risk, IP strategy, and contract disputes. His casework spans industries including technology, manufacturing, consumer products, real estate, and education.
