Mr. Franks earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. He completed his undergraduate education at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he received a B.S. degree. Mr. Franks has built a distinguished legal career spanning both prosecution and defense and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1989. He served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Cook County and McHenry County, where he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases. During his tenure, he held leadership roles, including Domestic Battery Prosecutor and Misdemeanor and Traffic Division Supervisor. This prosecutorial experience enables him to anticipate the State’s strategies and respond effectively on behalf of his clients.
