David A. Robinson

David A. Robinson is a business litigator and partner at Holland & Knight who handles complex trials, arbitrations, and strategic disputes for companies, investors, executives, and other clients. He represents parties in matters involving trade secrets, unfair competition, corporate governance, intellectual property, real estate, health care law, contracts, fraud, product liability, and regulatory issues. He also serves as outside general counsel and chief legal strategist, drawing on extensive courtroom experience across multiple states, industries, and diverse business sectors.

David earned his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. He earned his B.A. in Political Science and Law and Society, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Riverside. He later interned for California Supreme Court Justice Joseph R. Grodin. He is admitted in California and Colorado and before several federal courts, including the US Supreme Court and federal appellate courts in multiple jurisdictions.

David has prosecuted and defended significant business cases involving shareholder rights, corporate control, patents, trademarks, land use, water rights, employment, taxation, and environmental disputes. He has also handled shareholder derivative actions in state and federal courts. Before his current practice, he founded and led a business law firm focused on trial, appellate, transactional, labor, and real estate matters. His experience includes both plaintiff and defense victories in major complex disputes.
