David A. Muncy

David A. Muncy is a trial attorney at Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A., focused on personal injury law, workers’ compensation, and Social Security Disability cases. He joined his current practice after graduating from law school in 2012 and became a partner in 2017. He has tried hundreds of cases before Maryland District and Circuit Courts, the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission, and the Social Security Administration, advocating for injured people and individuals seeking disability benefits throughout Maryland successfully.

David earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He earned his B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park. During law school, he joined the Heuisler Honor Society for students graduating in the top ten percent. He also served on the University of Baltimore Law Review Executive Board, competed on the Robert Wagner Moot Court Team, and represented indigent defendants.

David brings experience from both plaintiffs’ personal injury firms and an insurance defense firm, giving him perspective on contested injury claims. He has held leadership roles with the Maryland Association for Justice, including President, and has served on its Board of Governors. He has also participated in the American Association for Justice and testified before the Maryland General Assembly regarding legislation affecting the rights of injured people throughout the state.

David A. Muncy has received professional recognition for his advocacy and leadership. He was selected to Maryland Rising Stars from 2017 through 2023 and to Maryland Super Lawyers beginning in 2024. His honors also include the Maryland Association for Justice Outstanding Service Award and recognition from The Daily Record. He continues developing his trial skills through legal education while contributing to professional organizations and initiatives supporting injured individuals and justice.
