David A. Martinez

David A. Martinez is a senior associate at Steeg Law Firm, LLC, with more than two decades of experience in commercial and residential real estate law. Martinez earned his B.A. from Tulane University, graduating cum laude in 1991, including a year abroad at the University of Manchester, England. He went on to earn his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1994, where he participated in Moot Court. He is admitted to the Louisiana Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, as well as the Texas Bar since 2006.

Since joining Steeg Law Firm, LLC in 2003, Martinez has coordinated title insurance for numerous transactions, ranging from shopping centers and office buildings to hotels, convenience store chains, and multi-state closings. His practice includes title examination, secured transactions, and title insurance law. He serves as a Louisiana title agent for major underwriters and has worked on significant financing, refinancing, and portfolio transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

David A. Martinez has also contributed to the profession as a CLE presenter on real estate and title insurance topics. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association Real Property Committee and previously served on the Urban Land Institute Louisiana. His civic involvement includes serving as commissioner for the Housing Authority of Jefferson Parish.
