Daniel L. Bray is an Iowa attorney whose legal practice has focused on family law and domestic relations since 1989. His work centers on matters such as divorce, custody disputes, and other legal issues affecting families. Over the years, he has developed significant experience handling complex matrimonial cases.

Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1972, following his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa in 1969. He was admitted to practice law in Iowa in 1973 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa.

Daniel is the author of Iowa Matrimonial Law, a legal treatise first published in 1986 and updated annually. The publication is widely used as a resource addressing legal issues related to divorce and domestic relations law in Iowa.

Daniel has held leadership roles in several professional legal organizations. He served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Iowa State Bar Association from 2003 to 2005 and has been an active member of the Johnson County Bar Association.

Daniel also served on the Publications Development Board of the American Bar Association Family Law Section from 2002 to 2009. In that role, he contributed to several publications, including serving as concept editor for Creating Effective Parenting Plans and Stock Options for Family Lawyers.

Daniel L. Bray has received professional recognition in the field of family law, including fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and membership as a Diplomat of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers.
