Daniel (Joe) Dougherty

Daniel “Joe” Dougherty is an attorney with Business Law Group in Colorado Springs. Joe earned a double major in Economics and Marketing from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He later attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law and earned his Juris Doctorate. His education helped him build a strong foundation in business and law.

Joe began his career in the financial services industry as an investment advisor with Hilliard Lyons Financial Services in Louisville, Kentucky. After gaining experience in investment and estate planning, he followed his interest in law. During law school, he clerked for several local judges and built broad legal skills.

Joe served the nation with the United States Air Force and the United States Army since 2010. As an Air Force Judge Advocate, he handled criminal and civil litigation matters. He later focused on labor and employment advice, litigation defense, employer policy development, and case management at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Joe moved closer to his dream of living in Colorado when he accepted a role with the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command at Peterson Space Force Base in 2020. In 2025, he joined Business Law Group in private practice, bringing dedication and practical legal insight.
