Daniel A. Juengel

Daniel A. Juengel is a partner at Frank & Juengel Law Group P.C. in Clayton, Missouri, and a criminal trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. His practice covers state and federal criminal defense, including murder, violent crimes, sex offenses, child pornography allegations, drug violations, white-collar matters, and other federal charges. He represents clients throughout Missouri and has also handled federal cases in Illinois, Alabama, and South Carolina.

Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science in the Administration of Justice, cum laude, from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He later received his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. His academic background established a strong foundation in criminal law, legal analysis, and trial preparation. Daniel has been admitted to practice in Missouri since 1992 and is also admitted before several federal district and appellate courts and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Daniel has defended death penalty cases and tried numerous murder cases and serious sex offense matters. His representative cases include U.S. v. Strauser, U.S. v. Nichols, and State v. Kirby. He has argued before the Supreme Court of Missouri, the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District, and the Seventh and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeals. He has also submitted briefs in the Fourth and Eleventh Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court. Earlier in his career, he served as a contract attorney for the Missouri State Public Defender System on felony matters.

Daniel A. Juengel serves on the Criminal Justice Act Lead Panels for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. His honors include selection to the Top 50 in St. Louis Super Lawyers since 2019 and to Super Lawyers since 2011. He has also received an AV Preeminent peer review rating and was named among Missouri’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the American Trial Lawyers Association. His professional involvement includes life membership in both the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
