Dale A. Dettmer

Dale A. Dettmer is a Partner at WhiteBird, PLLC, where he concentrates his practice in business law, estate planning, real property law, and tax planning. Practicing law in Melbourne, Florida, since 1974, Dale brings decades of experience and a reputation for excellence. Dale earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law, where he was a member of the Florida Law Review. Prior to that, he completed an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

Throughout his career, Dale has played a significant role in both the legal and business communities. He was a founding shareholder and later Chairman of The Bank Brevard, Inc., guiding it through its merger with BankFIRST, where he served as Vice-Chairman of the Board. His leadership extended to The BANKshares, Inc. and later Seacoast National Bank. In addition, he has served on numerous nonprofit and healthcare boards, including the Florida Institute of Technology, Health First Health Plans, and the Community Foundation for Brevard.

Dale A. Dettmer remains an active member of the Florida Bar, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. Tax Court.
