Cynthia A. Marneris (Zenko)

Cynthia A. Marneris (Zenko) is a real estate attorney and co-founder of Marneris Law, P.C. She helped create the firm in 2019 and oversees day-to-day operations of its Chicago West Loop office. Her practice covers residential purchase and sale transactions from contract negotiation through closing. She handles homeowners association due diligence, reviews closing documentation, explains transaction documents to clients, and addresses questions that arise while buyers and sellers move toward completion.

Cynthia earned a B.S. from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007, dual majoring in Psychology and Sociology and graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then earned her J.D. from The Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2010. During law school, she served as Secretary-Treasurer and later President of The Real Estate Law Student Association. She was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 2010.

Cynthia has concentrated on real estate since law school and has built her work around residential buying and selling. She negotiates contracts, reviews association materials, evaluates closing documents, and guides clients through the steps required to complete purchase and sale transactions. Her role also includes operational responsibility for the West Loop office, connecting day-to-day firm management with a practice centered on the legal details of residential real estate transactions.

Cynthia A. Marneris (Zenko) was named to Chicago Agent Magazine’s Who’s Who of 2018. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers’ Association, Chicago Association of REALTORS, and Women’s Council of Realtors. Her practice combines residential transaction work with professional involvement in organizations connected to law and real estate, while maintaining a sustained focus on Chicago-area property purchases and sales.
